Lisa O’Keefe studied at the ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE des BEAUX-ARTS, Paris, graduating in Painting.

She spent many years there developing her practice, and continued to work as a full-time artist on her return to Australia.

Her work, while figurative, is not traditional in style. Much of it has dealt with human emotions – joy, sorrow; love and laughter, while paying careful attention to colour, the tactile qualities of paint and a need to allow imagination a free reign in both form and composition. There is often a strong linear component to the work which ties it to her drawings, drawing having always been of great importance to her.

Lisa has exhibited consistently over the years in solo and group shows, and is represented in corporate and private collections in Australia, France, the U.S and Great Britain.
